Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2000 chevy silverado (4.3) with 92k miles. my problem is with the faulty fuel sending unit that left me stranded on the expressway and almost caused an accident. the gas gauge indicated 1/2 tank full. now the gauge indicates empty when i fill the tank completely. this is a very expensive repair that i think chevy should replace i am not the only one with this unstable problem. the fuel gauge is erratic at all times and now i gauge my travels by using the odometer and allowing only 300 miles per full tank. *jb |
