Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl* -the contact stated that while he was driving 35 mph the adjustable accelerator pedal became stuck to the floor. the contact depressed the brake pedal but, the vehicle continued to accelerate. this acceleration continued for a number of seconds. then, the contact shifted the vehicle into neutral and applied the emergency brakes in order for the throttle to disengage. the road condition on the date of the incident was fairly dry, so contact feels that the weather condition was definitely not an issue. the contact took the vehicle to the dealership and they stated that they wouldn't be able to cover his vehicle under the nhtsa recall number 01v207000 due to the fact that his vehicle wasn't built until 06-20-01. |
