| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 4 new dunlop a/t radial rover p255/70r16 109s m+s dot pjcu 78hr tires bought from internet seller discount tire direct installed also by discount tire, hampton, georgia, shipped from arizona to discount tire in hampton, georgia, all had defect of steel belt internal separation (some called tread separation) after driving only about 30 miles, one tire had sidewall blow-out, paper thin at point of defect, ridge of tread separation easy to see and feel, other 3 tires all had belt separation, felt and seen by a, b, j, l (dt employees) and others, all amazed that all 4 tires had same defect, of discount tire hampton. discount tire advised by me to notify dunlop, dunlop called once monday basically asking for the tire that blew out (discount tire could not reach anyone over weekend at dunlop). i have the tire that blew out at my home. i believe these tires should be investigated by nhtsa immediately. discount tire hampton employees were gracious, retained other 3 tires, replaced with 4 kelly tires. *nm |
