Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl* - the contact received recall 06v288000 on 2002 jeep liberty with an odometer reading of 95000 miles. the contact stated that she was driving under dry weather conditions at 30 mph when noticed that the vehicle became hard to steer and began to shake. she then pulled over and turned the vehicle's power off. when she subsequently tried to restart the vehicle the engine seized. the contact had the vehicle towed to the dealer, and they told her that she needed a new engine. the contact explained that she needed the recall work done, but they would not do recall repairs because of the engine failure. the contact believed that the ball joint failure caused the engine failure. *ak
