Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: When starting from cold in the morning, the vehicle coughs and does not accelerate when the accelerator is pressed. after some time the check engine light came up. vehicle runs smoothly after engine warms up. mileage reduced from 29 mpg in city to 25 mpg. the mechanic said the check engine light was for "lean fuel mixture". he reset the alarm and said nothing could be done. same problem has repeated several times. mechanic says that he has seen several vehicles with this problem and honda released a kit to solve it but i'll have to buy it. honda should recall all vehicles with this problem and install the kit. *jb
