Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl* -the contact was driving a 2005 dodge durango at about 5 mph when a stick knocked off the serpentine belt. the contact said that he then lost power to brakes and steering as a result. the contact called the manufacturer and the dealer. the belt was replaced under warranty, but they said that there was no change that could be made to the truck to prevent this problem from recurring. *ak the consumer discovered the serpentine belt had been pulled from the engine by a small stick. the consumer discovered that then engine sits 10 inches back which allows road debris to enter. updated 02/22/07. *jb
