| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Skf bearing r1563 (repair bearing) installation procedure does not contain a warning that the axle housing may be permanently damaged by driving in the bearing into the housing. the repair bearing works but when removed and replaced with proper bearing and (separate) seal falls out. the space created by the repair bearing allows the seal to fall out creating a ringing noise, fluid to escape, contamination and severe damage to the bearings and other. the axle can be ground by the bearing without gear oil and causes a loud thump which sound like the front part of the vehicle. the product does not suggest using bearing retainer to take up the (seal to housing) tolerance or epoxy after removing the repair bearing. the repair bearing tolerance is not acceptable to go off road. the escaping fluid is a environmental hazard. *nm |
