| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2002 hyundai elantra. while driving in a neighborhood my daughter hit her brakes to avoid a dog. upon braking the left lower control arm of the vehicles suspension broke and as a result the left front tire was thrown into the back of the wheel well. if this had happened on the highway my daughter would have most certainly died. upon notifying hyundai i was told with 92,000 miles the car was out of warranty and they would do nothing to fix it. i then tried to present them with the failed part and was told that the hyundai representative would be at the dealership during the week of jan. 1 and i would receive a call. to this date (feb. 8) i have heard nothing. my calls to the dealership have gone unreturned. i am concerned that someone else driving a 4 year old vehicle may be killed by an unexpected rust through of a 4 year old part. *jb |
