Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Mid year in 2006 the passenger side seat in my tahoe started to slide on its track about 2 to 3 inches, back and forth. then about 4 months later the same thing happened with the drivers seat. the seat slides back and forth about 4 inches. this is very hazardous when driving, because when you accelerate the seat slides back with a bang, and if you come to a quick stop, the seats sling you forward. i contacted the dealership which told me to contact chevrolet customer care. i explained to the i feel this is a defect in the way they assembled the seats. if it happened in just one seat i would agree, it is not a defect, but this has gradually happened to both seats. and there are other similar complaints on this website. the dealership denies this is a defect, and therefore chevrolet is denying this is a defect. i would appreciate any additional assistance with this problem. *jb |
