| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I owned a 1999 coachman futura lite travel trailer rm 2652 serial number 82202673. we had trouble with the refrigerator from the time of purchase. i did not her about the dometic refrigerator recall. the travel trailer burned to the ground. a sleeping mother and a 3 yer old escaped, the pets - a mother dog and puppy unable to be rescued died trapped in the fire. i talked to the dometic hotline and they said they would send me a package to make a claim but no package arrived and i am having trouble communicating with any one from dometic. i have a total loss of my travel trailer- the side where the travel trailer refrigerator was is burned orange. the fire was sudden and intense burning up the entire travel trailer in a very short time. i want dometic to begin to talk to me and settle with me for the loss. i have never ever received anything as a warning from dometic, recall notice, or response to me calling about the fire. i need government agency help. is there a class action lawsuit or dometic legal rep i need to talk to about this? how can i get an engineer to verify the fire originated in the refrigerator. the county it burned down in does not have a fire marshall. the deputy on the scene of the fire verbally said the fire looked like it started in the refrigerator but i do not have his report and he also said that i might have to get an engineer to do a report. will dometic settle this claim or do i have to get my own attorney to force dometic to respond to this claim? i have duly reported it to them on their hotline number. the fire happened in early december 2006 and now this is march 2007. jb |
