| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*- the contac complained against toyota. the contact owns a 2006 scion xb special edition she purchased in march 2006. thethe vehicle had a costume muffler that overlaped 2 to 3 inches out of the rear passenger side bumper. this part was an option, but on this vehicle it was standard. the contact stated that on december 28, 2006, after parking in n the driveway and opening the rear door of the vehicle her 16 year old step daughter suffered a burn when her right leg came in contact with the exhaust pipe. the second incident occurred on january 1, 2007, when her step daughter was in the rear of the vehicle talking to friends and one of them suffered a similar burn on his/her right leg. the contact felt that the manufacturer should be able to provide a safer muffler on this vehicle. *ak |
