Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Xi have owned a 2006 civic hybrid for the past year and a half. on several occasions i have noticed that a light application of the brake pedal can result in a sudden acceleration} rather than in braking. this happens intermittently, i would say approximately once a month. it seems like a malfunction in the computer system running the braking system. on one occasion last april this resulted in a minor accident. at the time i had only owned the car for a short interval and was surprised at this strange reaction of the car. since that time this problem has recurred several times. i would like to ask if you have had other reports of this problem and whether you know about it. since it is an intermittent effect it is no use taking the car to the dealership. *jb |
