Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Brake rotors went bad. vehicle would vibrate when brakes applied. no problem with stopping if pressing hard enough. took to dealership, and mechanic indicated rotors needed to be replaced after test driving vehicle & felt the vibration. i felt there was a design defect and requested chrysler replace the calipers under safety issue because it was a design defect. they informed me it was not a design defect and i would have to pay for it. while researching the repair, i learned there was a redeigned caliper kit to alleviate the problem. why would they go to the effort and expense to redesign a systen that was functioning well? this happened at 55,000 miles. i feel this is a safety issue and should be addressed as such
