| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I was driving at 40 mph on a busy highway and my engine shut off. i was able to go to the shoulder of the road and avoid any traffic problems. had my vehicle towed to the repair shop , and they indicated that my engine was blown and needed replacement. i only had 82,000 miles and changed my oil 3 to 4 times a year.this was well within the guidlines. had my car towed to the dealer and they were great. they set up a communication with chrysler and instead of having to pay $8,100 for an engine replacement, they offerred to pay $7,000 and i had to pay $1,000. i was happy with the result, however, i don't know why i should have liable for any amount.*ak |
