Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 1999 chevrolet silverado 1500 pickup customer states that he received a recall letter for the abs and after getting brakes fixed the pickup started having problems with starting idling**cc the consumer took the vehicle back to dealer, who then stated the abs motor was running constantly and the fuse needed to be pulled or the battery would die. once the fuse was pulled, the noise stopped. the dealer said to fix the problem would be costly and to just drive the vehicle. once the consumer left the dealer the brake light illuminated, the consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer and it was determined that the abs module was bad. the consumer stated everything was fine before the recall was performed. the consumer was told the starting problems were due to the fuel pressure regulator needing to be replaced. the dealer decided to split the cost of the abs module with the consumer. *tr
