Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2006 jeep liberty. three weeks after purchasing the vehicle, the transmission began locking and caused the vehicle to grind when driving between 30 and 55 mph. the contact stated that the transmission skips at speeds from 0 to 70 mph. the transfer drives failed in the middle of an intersection and the vehicle had to be towed. in april of 2007, new hardware was installed on the vehicle. the vehicle has had four tort converters and a rebuilt transmission installed, yet the failure persists. the engine size was unknown. the current mileage is 25,600 and failure mileage was 999.
