| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I received a recall notice on my 2005 jeep liberty around the end of march stating that the ball joints could corrode and come apart while the vehicle is being driven causing a crash. my husband and i purchased the vehicle from auto world in big stone gap, virginia. we have called them several times since received the recall notice was received. however the problem still has not been corrected. we called them again about a month ago and was told that daimerler chrysler is not sending them the parts that they need to fix the recalled vehicles and that they are only getting 1 or 2 sets of ball joints per month from them. at that time they told us that we were #12 on their list and we have not heard anything since. i find this totally unacceptable. this is my only means of transportation to and from work so i do not have any choice but to drive it and hope that i do not get killed while doing so. also, it has come to my attention that the initial recall notice appeared in consumer reports magazine in november of 2006. i did not receive a recall notice until march/april of 2007. i can assure them that if any of my family members are injured or killed due to this problem i will own their company. i would appreciated any assistance with this matter. |
