Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2000 pontiac grand am. the contact stated that the turn signals work intermittently and the intake manifold gasket failed in january of 2005. the vehicle was towed to a small town without a gm dealer and was repaired by an independent mechanic. the mechanic replaced the gasket with an after market manifold gasket. however, the replacement gasket was also defective and caused the entire manifold to be repaired a third time. the cost of the repair was $829.59. the contact wants to be reimbursed for the repair since the manifold was defective. the speed was unknown. the current and failure mileages were 150,000.
