Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Broken valve spring on 5.7 ltr. engine; despite a "technical bulletin sb-10000-442-8271, dated 4 nov 2002,(on this website)" stating "replace springs and sell unsold vehicles at auction", they further claim no knowledge of this tech bulletin . i contacted chrysler on several occasions about this concern and they told me that they knew nothing of this problem and i am an ase master certified technician so i have connections at other dealers whom i spoke with and they told me of this problem with the 5.7 hemi engines. dropped a valve shattered the piston and scored the cylinder wall so the engine was just scrap at this point. *tr |
