Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: We bought our 04 trailblazer used about a year and a half ago. it was owned by enterprise before and therefore already had 30000 miles on it but we knew that it was maintained well. it is now at 71000 miles and we have done all recommended maintenance. yesterday, while on the interstate the transmission lost third gear and above. this was dangerous but luckily i got off of the interstate with no incidence. this morning we took the truck to our local and trusted mechanic who determined that the transmission was shot. he called jasper to get a price on a new transmission and during that conversation, jasper informed him that they have done 15 upgrades to this particular gm transmission and that even gm is buying replacement transmissions from them. i think that gm should consider some type of recall on the transmissions due to the obvious amount of problems they are causing. needless to say.. my warranty is expired and i have to shell out $3000 to repair a 3 yr old vehicle. *jb
