Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I have a 2004 silverado 2500hd(c/k) with 51,000+ miles. this problem has been occurring for several weeks and just started as i was driving the vehicle on the highway. the speedometer operates erratically by showing various speeds such as 80 mph while i am driving 25 mph or shown 120 mph while i am stopped. at time it might work properly but then jump to 60 mph while i am driving 20 or while i am sitting still. my dealer is well aware of this problem and will repair it for $580.00 i continue to drive using the tachometer to gauge my speeds and speed controls to maintain speeds while in mountainous or hilly terrain. *jb |
