Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The headrest/harness adjusting levers of the alpha omega elite deluxe 3-in-1 car seat model #22-155 manufactured by the dorel juvenile group, inc. dated 6/23/04 have punctured and snagged the harness of the car seat on the left side creating a six inch snag in the threads of the harness. when the harness is loosened, it does not rest on the plastic metal pieces in the back. the seat was assembled correctly and the metal bar was locked according to the picture on page 14 of the owners manual. the problem area is clearly seen on page 14 of the owners manual. there are 2 metal posts that wrap around the metal bar to adjust the head rest with the red levers. the harness straps drift on top of these posts when loosened to remove the child. when the harness is tightened again, they wear on the harness threads and have punctured one side. the company has agreed to replace the harness but there is nothing to prevent this from happening again. *nm |
