Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: A faulty blower motor resistor has rendered my heater from working. the temp is around 20 degrees and without the blower, i cannot defrost my windows to drive safely. the blower motor resistor is out of the vehicle with visual electrical charring. the wiring harness is also melted. i've talked to 2 different dealers and their parts department has dealt with this problem before. so, i contacted the jeep customer service 800 number. but according to your "customer service" line, i need to get my vehicle back to the dealer so they can tell me what i already know. my question is why the blower motor resistor is back ordered 4,000-6,000 parts? and why if i take my vehicle back to the dealer, will i be expedited a part. are they creating a demand by not supplying the part and then the dealers raise the price of the part? i have already had one dealer say that if they locate one, that it'll cost more than the price advertised on their web site. this is the worse customer service i have ever had. *jb
