Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: My 2004 saturn ion level 2 will not start when the temperature is cold. it does not happen every time but within the last 4 days it has happened 6 times. it is the passlock security system that will not allow fuel to go to the engine when the car does not send the correct message to the body control module. i have to wait 8-20 minutes for the cars security system to reset. hopefully, it will start after that time period. this problem is not being acknowledge by saturn because this is not a nationwide problem. it happens in the colder regions of america because of the ignition switch. i have been late several times to work because of this problem. i have not gone to have this problem fixed because i have read that it recurs even after parts and the ignition switch has been replaced. many people have been affected by this because of the colder temperatures that have come across america. this problem doesn't only effect 04 ions but also 03 and 05. saturn has changed the design of the system in newer models which is a sign that it is a problem. i have also heard that this problem is happening in many gm models. this should be looked into to protect consumers. finally, this problem has been occurring since october of 2006 for my car and it has happened over 30 times. *nm
