Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*- the contact stated that the 2007 yamaha yzf- r1 had acceleration problems since he drove the motorcycle off the dealership parking lot. while driving in second gear at 5,500 rpms the throttle engaged and the motorcycle did not accelerate as it should. when it did accelerate it did it at a slow rate of speed before it actually gradually gained speed. the failure occurred only when merging on o the highway or into traffic. the contact h spoke with the yamaha dealership and they informed him that the motorcycles manufactured in the united states were having this problem, but the european motorcycles were not. the contact had three incidents with the motorcycle, almost being hit by a vehicle due to slow merging. the failure mileage was 1, and the current mileage was 1200.*ak |
