Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I had been out of town when my 2000 ford excursion had a door ajar dummy light fail to shut off. i attempted to figure out what was causing the door ajar light to remain on but never did find the problem. i ended up driving home so i could make an appointment with my dealer to have it checked out. i was able to get the truck home, but as i was driving through my subdivision my truck made a noise, then made a much louder noise, and began running really rough. a strong odor of fuel filled the passenger compartment of my truck. i immediately shut off the engine so my truck wouldn't ignite, but that left me stranded in the middle of the road. i have since been told that the triton v10 engine blew a spark plug and it's been quoted at $4200 to be repaired at the closest dealership and $3500 at the dealership where i purchased the truck but i have to have it towed again. *jb |
