| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl* - the contact owns a repair shop and complained that if the door handle broke on the 1998 or 1999 dodge durango there was no replacement door handle available for purchase. the contact stated that the internal driver's side door handle for 1998 - 1999 vehicles were no longer being produced, and the vehicle owners has no recourse. the contact made a makeshift door handle because the original handle was no longer available, and there was no part available that would put the vehicle in compliance. this failure could be a safety hazard in case of an accident. the vehicle owner could not easily get out of the car. the contact stated that the part which was $30.00 - $40.00 was being purchased at junk yards for approximately $400. the current and failure mileage were both 71,838 . *ak |
