Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Vehicle did not stop at intersection when brakes were applied. the abs sounded as if it had engaged but my wheels did not stop. i had my 2 children in the vehicle and fortunately nothing was coming and therefore no one was hurt or killed. i reviewed the nhtsa website to investigate and found that campaign number 05v379000 covers this problem and that a recall had been issued to remove corrosion from the speed sensors and apply rust inhibitor. i contacted apple chevrolet in york, pa and on 2/28/07, they found the that my wheel speed sensors had excessive rust build up. i was also informed that my vehicle was not included in this recall. i was charged $241.65 for these repairs and i feel that i should not be responsible for this. how can oer 1.3 million vehicles made between 1999 and 2002 be recalled for this same problem and my vehicle is not included? *jb |
