| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: After steadying the throttle in second gear, at 5500 rpm, 48 mph, and then applying throttle, the motorcycle, does not accelerate properly, and lags severely. the lag is so severe that a rider runs the risk of being hit from the rear, especially in a traffic situation, when merging for example. through generalized research, i have determined that the problem can be recreated on any us version 2007 yamaha r1 motorcycle. the problem cannot be recreated on a dynometer. changing the gearing, exhaust, pciii, and or ignition module does not correct this problem. *jb |
