Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl* - the contact called regarding 2000 ford expedition. the contact stated that he had driven the vehicle earlier and approximately 3-4 hours later the contact noticed that the vehicle was on fire. the contact stated the fire department extinguished the fire. the fire department took pictures of the vehicle. the contact stated that some of the vinyl siding on his home was damaged by the fire. there were no injuries. the contact stated he received the recall notice in nov 2006. he had attempted to get the recall work done, however the ford dealer did not have any available appointments. the manufacturer has denied the claim stating the consumer did not respond to the recall letter. the current and failure mileage was 90,000 miles. |
