| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The speedometer would all of the sudden just go down to zero. once you would stop car, turn off and then back on, it would reset. it did this a half a dozen times, until this past weekend, while driving, it said i was going 70, but i seemed to be passing everyone. i slowed down, and noticed that the speedometer was stuck at 70. i stopped, turned off the car and nothing happened. i had to continue my trip by pacing myself with other cars. yesterday, it said i was pegged out going over 120. it would never go below 70. i took to dealer and they had to send cluster to be repaired. this is a very dangerous situation and sounds like a recurring problem that needs to be addressed by gm. i don't think the consumer should be stuck paying for a safety issue that gm needs to replace. *jb |
