Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: This booster seat was a spare seat. despite its age, it was used only 5 or 6 times in it's life. i was installing it in our secondary vehicle on saturday 3-10-07, and while adjusting the vehicle seat belt adjuster to fit my son's height (he has grown several inches since it's last use), the clip that attaches the harness adjuster to the seat snapped into several pieces. this resulted in the harness adjuster becoming useless. i am very glad that this happened while installing the seat, and not during a crash, however this confirms to me the poor quality of this seat. i contacted evenflo to report the failure of this piece, and they were unconcerned. they explained that the seat is only warranted for 90 days from purchase or 1 year from manufacture. they offered to replace the broken part, but under the circumstances, i did not feel comfortable using the seat further. they refused to offer a discount on the purchase of a different model seat and further dismissed my safety concerns about using the seat. replacing the flimsy piece was the only solution they would offer. i will be destroying and disposing of the seat instead and purchasing another brand. *jb
