Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We are having problems installing the britax marathon carseat (manufacture date nov 2006) with the rear installation using a lapbelt or shoulderlap belt (we don't have latch). our car is a 1998 nissan altima. 1) with the lapbelt, we can't close the rear "lock-offs" unless the lapbelt is totally flat inside the lockoff, but then the belt is not tight and the child seat is not secure. if we try to tighten the belt properly, the lapbelt seems to get bunched up inside the lockoff, and we can't close the lockoff. this happens in every position we try to install the marathon carseat. 2) the buckle of the middle lapbelt hits the lockoff mechanism and we can't tighten the belt any further, and the belt is too loose. 3) we also have difficulty putting both sections of the belt through the lockoff if we are using a shoulder belt, and are unable to close the rear lockoff. |
