Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I own a 2003 suzuki bandit gsf1200s motorcycle. over the last year of ownership, i have noticed a pronounced deterioration of light output from the main low beam and high beam headlight housing. this is a common problem with several owners of the same model motorcycle i have come to know through common model specific internet forums while researching this issue. the issue with the headlight module involves a projector beam housing that is susceptible to accumulating a fine gray dust, thus, hindering the light output to an extremely dangerous low level. the light output is so poor i have nearly been involved in 3 different accidents because i simply could not see debris in the road less than 30 yards ahead while driving 35 mph or less. since the headlight housing is a sealed unit, it is impossible to access the areas that need to be cleaned on a regular basis. i have discussed this issue at length with more than one dealer and although one was aware of the issue the others were not. all of the dealers were of no help in resolving this issue and refused to aacknowledge it as a real safety hazard. when i, along with several other owners contacted the manufacturer if the headlight assembly, stanley, we were redirected to suzuki usa which of course claims to have never heard of the problem. this is after several hundred other owners had also made suzuki usa aware of the issue in writing and by phone. this complaint is a last resort in effort to resolve this unsafe issue with the headlight assembly. please advise.
