Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We purchased a 2007 jeep commander on feb.10. it has 2,000 miles on it. last week, the engine "threw a rod" through the side of the engine requiring a new engine to be installed. it was the result of road rainwater being taken into the engine through the air intake. i am having to file a claim with my insurance company to replace the engine. the water on ther road was minimal. i continue to see jeep advertisements on television showing the jeep commander driving thru water... the consumer needs to be aware that the vehicle cannot be driven thru water... |
