| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: This jaguar 2004 xj8 has been subject to 6 unintended acceleratons over a period of half a year including two in the dealer's shop. when in traffic or close quarters it has been necessary to place the shifter in neutral or reverse to control the acceleration. the dealer has had the car in his shop on three occasions. on the first occasion nothing was found. on the second occasion it was said that the fuel pump or its wiring harness were faulty and were replaced. on the present occasion it was thought that possibly this was a transmission problem. there have been mutiple episode and so only the last one is mentioned below. |
