| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2007 yamaha yzf-r1, significant power lose in second gear at 5500 rpms. while in second gear if i hold steady at 5500 miles and approximately 48 mph for a few seconds then apply the throttle the motorcycle does not pick up speed as normal. at 5000 or 6000 rpms the motorcycle picks up speed as normal. i can duplicate this problem at will and have done so many times. this problem will also arise in corner exit and traffic merging. a lose of power with a car on ones tail is scary at best and deadly at worst.*ak |
