Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*- the contact owns a 2004 lincoln ls. while driving at 55 mph the contact heard a loud noise and noticed the driver's side air bag deployed without warning. the vehicle did not impact anything to cause the deployment of the air bag. the driver was injured. the vehicle was towed to the dealer, who was unable to repair the vehicle. the dealer stated that there was a hole in the floor underneath the seat which was caused by a foreign object on the road. the foreign object made contact with the side air bag sensor, which caused the deployment of the side airbag. the vehicle was sent to a collision inspection facility, and,they were unable to inspect the vehicle. the vehicle was sent to a different dealer. the second dealer stated that the side air bag deployed due to debris hitting the undercarriage of the vehicle. the current mileage was 25,000 miles. *ak |
