Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 3 months ago my fuel sender went bad on my 2002 isuzu axiom. it can not tell the correct fuel level. i went to alldata website to review if there were any recalls for this and there was one for fuel pumps (sb05-02-s002). the bulletin described how silicon-contaminated fuel in texas and isuzu was suppose to replace all fuel pumps whether they needed it or not at no charge to us. you see, the fuel sender is attached to the fuel pump assembly. according sb05-02-s002, this fuel pump problem is potentially a source of fire due to a fuel pump leak. i contacted the dealer and national isuzu headquarters and they both told me based on the vin # of my vehicle, i did not need my fuel pump replaced. i do not feel safe with this and that is why i am contacting you for help. *jb |
