| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 1. wipers did not return to "parked" position at bottom of windshield due to obstruction (freezing precipitation). 2. intermittent wiper function ceased immediately, 2 weeks later wiper park function failed, on 3/16/07 the wipers failed while in use on i40. my wife, 2 daughters and i had to park the car on the side of i40 for almost 3 hours beginning during rush hour traffic because i could not see through the torrential rains with no windshield wipers. 3. at this point nothing has been done to correct the failures. ford motor corp. has stated there is a recall on the windshield wiper system and that although my car falls in the year of the recall, is the correct make and model and also exhibited the exact symptoms listed under the recall, they will not repair the problem.*jb |
