Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: My wife purchased a 2000 ford taurus in 2001 the vehicle has had some problems but nothing to out of the ordinary until 033107 on this day my wife went to drive the vehicle and the front drivers side tire was rubbing the wheel well i then proceeded to take it to the ford dealership and they told me that the front coil spring was broken and it would be covered by an extended warranty that they had done due to common problems that they were having w/ these springs. upon completion of the inspection of the vehicle they found that the drivers side rear spring was broken as well they stated was not covered they only cover the front springs and that i would have to pay a considerable amount for this repair so i chose to purchase the springs for the rear of the vehicle after talking with the 800 people that said they don't have a reason to cover them but why wouldn't you cover them if the front ones are known to break and they are the same component i just feel that if these springs are breaking that it should be a huge concern to every one and their loved ones we all share the same roads and what if they were to break at 65mph shouldn't we correct the problem and just recall the suspension components ie all four coil springs. *jb
