Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2000 ford taurus. while driving 10 mph tboth the driver's side and passenger's side rear coil springs failed. the coil springs detached and punctured the driver's side tire while also damaging the passenger's side rear tire. a few weeks prior to the failure the contact noticed the rear end of the vehicle was lower to the ground than usual. the dealer stated that the coil springs must be replaced. ford advised the contact to pay for the repairs, but offered to reimburse the contact if a recall was issued in the future. the contactwas currently arguing with ford and requesting that they assume the cost for all repairs. the current mileagewas 101,000 , and failure mileage was 100,000. *ak |
