Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2002 gmc envoy fuel smell. took to 2 different gm dealers before problem was found. the 2nd gm dealer found it to be the fuel pump module which was rusted and leaking gas. gm would not stand behind this problem as she was the second owner. the problem is the way metal fuel pump module sits in the recessed portion middle of the plastic fuel tank invites moisture, rust , salt, corrosion etc. replaced at our expense of $520.00 this is a design problem. *jb |
