| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 1999 dodge intrepid. while driving at 55 mph the vehicle began to vibrate and produced a knocking noise. the contact stated that acceleration decreased and the engine stalled. the check engine light has been intermittently illuminating for approximately one year. the vehicle was brought to local mechanics on several occasions, and the vehicle was never diagnosed as having engine failure. during this time,the mechanics replaced the cam shaft and the crank shaft regulator. the mechanic stated that the engine was breaking down, and the crank shaft seal was deteriorating. the vehicle had undergone routine maintenance since the time of purchase. the failure mileage was 140,000. *ak |
