Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Jeep heating , took vehicle to the mechanic, and he said that the cooling fan was broken/frozen. the mechanic said there was a recall on jeep cooling fans for my year of jeep. i called the local dealer plus daimler-chrysler, but they said the recall was for 4.1l engines and my engine was a 4.7l. obviously, chryssler/daimler has a problem with the cooling fans on these jeeps, but i didn't understand why my jeep wasn't included in the recall. the mechanic had the nhtsa recall bullentin. because of the heating problem, along with a safety issue, we had to pay to have the repair work done, $1206.86. the part alone was over $900.00 - the old part was currently available.*ak |
