Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Dometic rv refridgerator recall by company at your request. i have verified that my refridgerator was subject to the recall by dometic, and verified on their web site by serial number as one that was affected by the recall.*ak i called their phone number 1-888-446-5157. i received a answer from a person after being on hold for one hour and 30 minutes. this was on 03122007. they said they would send me out the forms i needed to file a claim as i have already had the severe leak and had to have the unit replaced on 08022006. it was very, very costly and i had to pay for it in full to be repaired. i asked the person on the phone line for the reimbursement forms as required by their recall notice..she said they would be sent out and if i did not receive them in 30 days to recontact them and ask again. i have tried that and dont feel i need to play the phone game for more hours to get a serious problem taken care of...it is almost impossible to get through on thier line and get another person to talk to..can you stay on hold during work hours at work for hours at a time to do it again and again to get a response. i have made my claim now they need to follow up and be more user friendly....that phone line is an absolute joke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have already made on claim and sent email to dometic. now i am asking for your help in getting them to react to a claim already filed verse me spending more time and getting nowhere!!!!!!!!! my model number is rm2652 serial number is 02000054.....now it is their turn to contact me.....i can not afford to take off work and stay on a phone line for hours to get some help with their recall notice......i need some help getting someones attention as i feel this is done to keep from being finacially responsible for thier defect to a consumor complaint........like they want us to give up and stop~!!!!!!!!!!
