Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I know in fact i'm not the first to make a complaint regarding an issue that i have on my 2007 yamaha yzf r1 motorcycle. the following is the best description i can give for a throttle lag problem in the 2nd gear at approximately 5000-5500 rpm. the motorcycle will not respond to the throttle opening and hesitates for approx. 2 seconds before it will accelerate. i for one think this is very dangerous especially during interstate riding when the need to accelerate rapidly exists. at this point yamaha hasn't responded to the problem and i am a member of r1 forum.com and the majority of owners of the 2007 model has experienced. i am hoping that nhtsa can help with this problem that yamaha refuses to correct and hopefully get a recall issued. any help with this matter would truly be appreciated. *jb |
