| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*- the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet silverado with a current mileage of 33,500 miles. the contact stated that the vehicle was on its third set of wheel bearings. each time the contact experienced a problem with the wheel bearings the wheels would make a grinding noise, and the steering would become very shaky. during the last occurrence, the abs light turned on, and the vehicle's brakes failed. each of the three failures occurred while driving 55 mph. the weather was not a factor. the contact had the vehicle towed to dealer where they replaced the bearing and fixed the brakes, but could not give a reason for the wheel bearing failure. |
