Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On april 14 2007 my husband went outside to start the 2003 chevrolet cavalier we purchased in october of 2006, the car has 53000 miles on it. the car would not start. upon taking the car to a private mechanic we were told that the fuel pump had failed and that we were lucky we were not driving the car at the time as the car itself would have simply died in the middle of the road. the mechanic fixed the car and repairs ran almost 600.00. i then called chevrolet to complain and they would not assist me in this matter. upon researching this issue further i found a website of complaints from 90 consumer's regarding this same issue with the same year make and model. the web address is http://www.topix.net/forum/autos/chevrolet-cavalier/tvinic5tfu5sfsi5h/p3 . please check into this. *jb |
