Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Driver's side window adjacent to third seat (cargo area) of 2000 ford expedition shattered for no apparent reason; window was open for ventilation per design (tempered glass window pivots open about 3" via electric actuator). speed was 65 mph under calm conditions, smooth road surface. i initially believed i had suffered a complete left/rear tire failure as there was a very loud "bang" and a large amount of debris hurled into adjacent traffic lane. approximately 1/4 of the volume of shattered glass was hurled into the passenger compartment, primarily in the third row. fortunately i was alone in the vehicle; anyone in third row would have, at a minimum, suffered lacerations and likely eye injury. *jb |
